案例详情:

recently completed by tokyo-based tezuka architects, 'house to catch the mountain' is a two-storey residence positioned at the base of a foothill in kamakura, japan. comprising the facade, a line of glass doors may be slid outward and stacked together at opposing ends of the building footprint, entirely eliminating a perimeter enclosure and exposing the unified living and dining area to the outdoors.

the continuous roof plane appears supported with a fireplace at the open corner while a discrete column takes on the loads. the kitchen is contained within free-standing wooden volumes, partially revealing its presence from view. leading directly from the grand living area, a bridge guides inhabitants towards a passageway to climb the small mountain adjacent to the dwelling.a spiral staircase descends into a recessed courtyard, offering access into the private bedroom spaces.
